Previously, I've always used coaxial digital audio (DVR to stereo and CD player to stereo). The TV and PS2 don't support coaxial, only optical, so I had to go with this cable. The cable works perfectly. Much, much better than the far pricier alternative. I've had no issues. Since you're moving digital, quality of the cable is irrelevant. So long as the light can make it, you're good to go. Optical is superior to coaxial here, because there's no potential for RFI/magnetic interference, so the quality of the cable is even less relevant.
